Description:
Terrestrial herb 60-100 cm tall growing from subterranean elongated rhizome; leaves 2-6, 27-52 cm x 4-14 mm, linear, absent or just starting to at flowering time; inflorescence laxlyto densely several to many flowered; scape with 3-4 sheaths spread along its length; flowers white, sepals green towards apex, lip sometimes flushed with lilac at base; ovary and pedicel 10-20 mm long; bracts 6-10 mm long, lanceolate; sepals all similar, erect, spathulate, 10-13 x 4.5-9.5 mm; petals 9-13 x 8-11 mm, elliptic to circular, lying over column; lip 13-21.5 x 8-12 mm, obscurely 3-lobed; mid-lobe 9.5-12.5 mm long with callus of 5 low keels in the centre, margins undulate (wavy), side lobes narrowly oblong; spur 2-6.5 mm long, conical with blunt apex, recurved.
