Synonyms: Thevetia neriifolia Juss. ex A.DC.
Thevetia peruviana (Pers.) K. Schum.
Common names: Be-still tree (English) Lucky nut (English) Yellow oleander (English)
Description: Shrub or small tree. Leaves evergreen, glossy, linear, ± sessile, dark green; secondary veins obscure; margin revolute. Flowers 5-7.5 cm long, usually yellow, sometimes apricot, orange or white (cv. 'alba'). Fruit c. 2.5 cm across, becoming black when ripe.

Similar to Cascabela thevetioides; see that species for the differences.
Notes: Very commonly planted both in urban gardens and in rural areas.
