Perennial herb with round-based corms, bearing membranous to fibrous tunics. Leaves few, the cauline lanceolate, plicate. Stem flattened, winged, unbranched. Inflorescence a spike, bearing fairly large green bracts. Flowers actinomorphic, white; tube long. Stamens included within the tube. Style filiform, with 3 branches, each branch deeply forked. Capsule oblong. Worldwide: 1 species occurring in DRC (Shaba), Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, and Zambia Malawi: 1 taxon. |
