Hairless perennial herb with numerous annual, unbranched, erect stems, up to 30 cm high, growing from a woody rootstock c. 1 cm thick. Leaves sessile, slightly fleshy, oblanceolate, up to 2.5 cm long; margins entire. Inflorescences usually terminal, occasionally axillary, in 3–7-branched umbels, with primary rays up to 3 cm long. Bracts sessile, yellowish-green, deltoid, up to 1.5 cm long and wide. Cyathia sessile, 3 × 3.5 mm, with cup-shaped involucres; glands 4, rarely 5, spreading, transversely oblong, 2–2.5 mm wide; outer margin entire to shallowly sinuate with 2 minute horns, golden-yellow. Capsule exserted on a pedicel to 6 mm long, conspicuously 3-lobed, 4-4.5 mm long and wide. |
