Description:
Shrub-like plant with mostly herbaceous or soft-wooded unbranched stems, which may be erect or scrambling. Leaves leathery, crowded in terminal rosettes. Inflorescences a terminal panicle, whitish to purple.

Habitat: Understorey of montane forest, where it may form dense stands
