Terrestrial. Flowers deep orange; dorsal sepal 10-14 mm. Lip 7-11, curving forwards; spur 12-19 mm, usually tucked into the bracts. |
| Notes: | Very similar to P. buchananiana, which is smaller and more variable in colour. |
| Derivation of specific name: | pervillei: likely after Auguste Pervillé, a French gardener, explorer and plant collector who collected in Madagascar and the Seychelles around 1837-1841. |
| Habitat: | In damp grassland and seepage zones, where it may form small colonies. |
