Description:
Suffrutex up to 35(50) cm high. Stems mostly unbranched, with more or less spreading brownish woolly hairs. Leaves mostly 3-foliolate, sometimes unifoliolate or 5-foliolate leaves present; leaflets linear-oblong or very narrowly elliptic to narrowly oblanceolate, green and hairless above, densely grey or whitish hairy beneath; stipules up to 15 mm, linear-triangular. Flowers in dense terminal heads, often also in the upper axils. Calyx up to c. 12 mm long, with appressed grey or brown hairs. Standard and wings up to c. 28 mm long, pink, mauve or pale purple, rarely bluish; standard brown pubescent outside. Ovary and style pubescent. Pods 35-55 mm long, oblong, with golden-brown hairs.
