Description: |
This species is generally similar to E. pauciflorum. I can be distinguished by the appressed indumentum, the more densely hairy standard and the generally shorter peduncle (up to 7 cm long). |

Derivation of specific name: | burkei: named after Botanist and collector Joseph Burke (1812 - 1873), who collected the type in northern South Africa. |
Habitat: | In seasonally burnt grassland, open Brachystegia woodland and dry dambos. |
