Description: |
Small tree. Leaves oblanceolate to oblong or elliptic, margins rather bluntly serrulate, sometimes appearing scalloped, net-veining conspicuous above. Young leaves coppery. Flowers bright yellow, very short-lived, normally appearing before or with the young leaves. Fruits ovoid, attached at the base, black when ripe, the enlarged, persistent sepals turning cherry to brick red. |
