Description: |
Suffrutex or low-growing, spreading shrub, leas than 1.5 m high. Leaves opposite, simple, variable in shape from elliptic-oblong and narrowly lanceolate to ovate or almost round, 1-6 cm long, hairy on both surfaces, no hairy pockets in the vein axils; margin entire. Flowers terminal on short lateral branches, solitary or several together, sweetly scented. Corolla white; tube 16-33 mm long; lobes 9-13, oblong to narrowly elliptic, 12-22 mm long. Fruit with 1 or 2 ellipsoid lobes, 1-1.5 cm long, black when ripe. |
