| Description: |
Erect robust perennial or undershrub to 1 m, pubescent to tomentose. Leaves 15-40 mm, opposite to subwhorled, simple to 3-fid or 5-fid with segments 1-1.5 mm wide; margin thickened. Inflorescence 5-20 mm, spike-like, simple or much-branched, relatively lax with the axis visible between the whorls. Flowers pink, mauve to purple. Bracteoles narrowly linear. Calyx 6-11 × c. 4-5 mm; lobes 3-9.5 mm, calyx not apparently inflated or enlarged, densely tomentose on the outside. Corolla 15-22 mm in diameter. Capsule glabrous, spherical to broadly ovoid. |
