Acaulescent herb, solitary or occasionally clumped. Leaves dying back in the dry season. The expanded leaf bases forming an underground bulb-like swelling; lamina up to 50 × 15 cm; leaf margin cartilaginous, 1-2 mm wide, whitish, the same colour as the teeth. Perianth pale yellow, or tinged with pink or brown. |
