Description: |
Strongly aromatic, scrambling, straggling perennial herb with sometimes woody stems up to 1.5 m tall. Hairs short, more or less spreading, non-glandular. Glands sessile, yellowish and/or reddish. Leaves spreading, opposite, often with clusters of small leaves in the axils of main leaves, more or less narrowly ovate or oblong, 2-6 cm long, pointed at the apex, almost hairless or with short hairs on the veins and numerous sessile reddish glands; margin crenate or serrate; petiole 4-12 mm long. Inflorescence lax with 2-6-flowered opposite clusters, mostly 10-15 mm apart; pedicels mostly 3-4 mm long. Calyx 2-3 mm long, expanding 5-6 mm in fruit, with glandular hairs and red sessile glands. Corolla white or bluish-white, 9-11mm long; upper lip shorter than lower lip; lower lip 6-7 mm long, horizontal, boat-shaped. |
