Description: |
Perennial herb, up to 55 cm high, growing from a bulb up to 5 cm in diameter. Leaves linear to lanceolate, up to 35 cm long, mostly hairles, sometimes pubescent or with ciliate hairs. Flowering stem pubescent in the upper part. Inflorescence a densely flowered raceme, 5–17 cm long. Pedicels 5–9 mm long, spreading, pubescent; bracts narrowly lanceolate, up to 8 mm. Perianth segments oblong, 3–5 mm long, spreading to reflexed, white or greenish-white, rarely pale purple or blue. Ovary, filaments or anthers often bluish or dark-coloured. Capsule 3–4 mm long, often on pedicels longer than 9 mm. |
