Description: |
Low level epiphytic herb, occasionally lithophytic. Leaves 3 to 4, oblanceolate, dark green, fleshy or leathery with noticeable reticulate venation. Inflorescences up to 15 cm, pendent, up to 10-flowered. Flowers white, sometimes tinged pink on the spur. Spur slender, relatively short, 4-6 cm. This species is very similar to A. mystacidii, which is more widespread, usually has somewhat larger flowers with longer spurs. The different flowering times are often the easiest way to distinguish the two species. |
