Description:
Robust epiphyte or lithophyte. Stems erect or pendent, up to 80 cm, normally unbranched. Leaves 2-lobed at the apex, variable in size and texture, depending on the habitat and exposure, usually thinly textured and flat in forest specimens, thickly leathery and folded along the length in woodland specimens. Inflorescences several to many, arising along the stem, each with up to 25 flowers. Flowers in two rows, all facing the same direction, buff-coloured, turning orange with age. Lip 3-lobed with the side lobes longer than mid-lobe and distinctly fimbriate at the apices.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name: bicaudata: with two tail-like appendages possibly in reference to the side lobes of the lip.
Habitat: In forest and woodland areas.
Altitude range: 900 - 1850 m
