Description:
Tall straight-stemmed evergreen tree. Leaves very large, clustered near the ends of branches, obovate-oblong, stiff and leathery. Flowers in terminal branched clusters, trumpet-shaped with reflexed petals, creamy-white with a greenish tube. Sepals 5-8 mm long, green, rounded. Corolla white with 11-13 lobes. Stamens as many as the corolla lobes, equal, with short filaments. Fruit fleshy, near-spherical, smooth.

Habitat: In riverine forest and along forest margins, often in swampy places.
