Large tree with a spreading crown, 10 m high. Trunk grey, with longitudinally fissured bark. Stems yellow with hooked thorns. Thorns in pairs, bases far apart, grey with white lenticels. Leaves bipinnate. Leaflets many, glabrous, somewhat discolorous.

Small tree, 3.5 m high. Pods drooping, long, sausage shaped, black. Leaves compound. Leaflets alternate, obovate, apex notched. Young shoots straw-coloured.

Annual herb, 25 cm high. Flowers single, orange. Leaves compound, consisting of 4 leaflets. Stems thin, erect, hairy. Pods green, flat, sickle-shaped, covered with glandular hairs.

Small to medium-sized tree, 3-5 m high. Fruit 4-winged, apple-shaped, copper coloured to brown, wings yellowish-green. Leaves large, drooping, opposite, softly pubescent below, glabrous above.

Annual herb, 10-15 cm high. Flowers blue, spathe short and compact with a few hairs on the outside. Leaves alternate, small, elliptic, sessile, leaf lamina undulating.
