Stems green, harshly pubescent. Leaves bright green and slightly pubescent on the upper surface, undersurface felted with short white hairs, prominent venation. Flowers small, solitary or in axillary clusters on pubescent peduncles with small pointed bracts at branching points and below each flower. Calyx of five hairy sepals joined at base narrow and pointed. Flowers purple.

Straggling shrub to 1.5 m. Woody with greyish, smooth bark. New growth green, stems and leaves closely covered with short silvery hairs, Leaves opposite or whorled, lanceolate with slightly irregular margins, shortly petiolate. Flowers solitary, terminal on short leafy side shoots; calyx tubular, lipped with 10 very narrow lobes like a fringe. Corolla tube much longer than the calyx with ten narrow lobes equal, white. Stemans and stigma concealed within the tube. Diameter of the flower approximately 3 cm. A faint unpleasant scent.

A scrambling climber. Stems green, pubescent with silvery white hairs. Small triangular stipules at the base of petioles also hairlike stipules at the base of leaflets. Leaves finely pubescent on upper surface, bright green with a fine silvery margin. Under surface with long white hairs. Flowers in axillary clusters on short pubescent peduncles. Standard petal folded, upper edge notched, bright pink shading to green at base, wing petals attached to keel, very narrow, rolled, yellow/green, keel yellow/green.

To 30 cm high, branching. Stems green, pubescent. Leaves pubescent on both surfaces, also rachis. Flowers tiny, pale pink in short terminal spikes. Flowers on 3 mm pedicels, each with a small red bract at the base. Calyx with two upper segments joined for half their length. Pod flattened.
