Up to 40 cm in height; locally common.

70 ft high; Tree; Notes: Tree 70 feet in height (22 ins. dbh) on compacted sand marginal to dambo in scattered tree community of Piliostigma, Combretum imberbe and Acacia nigrescens. Uncommon but widespread in the above situation.

48 ft high; Tree; Notes: On compact sand. Tree 48 feet high and 3 feet in diameter. Only specimen in Burkea, Combretum mechowianum tree savanna - Mopane mosaic.

8 ft high; Graminoid; Notes: Common tall grass, 8 feet, on dry and moist flood plain grassland.

Tufted perennial up to 20 cm in height; locally common.

Shrub; Notes: Multiple-stemmed shrub. In undisturbed midstratum of Acacia nigrescens thicket. Abundant.

Grass, up to 304- 426 cm high.

Notes: Locally common emergent aquatic, up to 8 feet in height. Inflorescence red-brown colour.

Climber; Notes: Climber on termitaria thicket in drainage line. Flowers pale orange.

Tree; Notes: Very common medium sized tree in Dialium, Pterocarpus, Baikiaea savanna woodland. Up to 25 feet in height. Pods dark red.

Creeper; Notes: Common creeper in savanna woodland on sand. Amongst the grass layer.

Herb; Notes: Uncommon, widely dispersed small woody herb of 1 feet - 2 feet high in Savanna woodland on sand.

6 ft high; Graminoid; Notes: Common on dambo margin amongst Themeda triandra and Hyparrhenia. Up to 6 feet in height.

sedge; Notes: Common sedge in savanna woodland on sand. Up to 1 feet 6 inches in height.

Graminoid; Notes: Common locally on Dambos (drainage line). Up to 5 ft tall.

7 ft high; Shrub; Notes: Rubiaceae shrub in Acacia nigrescens. Thicket under storey, 7 feet high. On termitarium.

14 ft high; Tree; Notes: Common small tree in marginal floodplain woodland. Up to 14 feet tall. Fruit dark red-brown.

Tufted aquatic herb up to 25 cm in height; inflorescence white. Cited in Flora Zambesiaca volume 13 part 4:48 (2010).

Up to 30 cm in height. Inflorescence white. Locally common.

Shrub; Notes: Common large shrub on termite mounds in drainage line. Up to 15 feet in height.

In January the dominant flowering aspect of montane grassland. It appears to be dominant in quantity as well. Inflorescences giving the scenery a brown appearance. Up to 120 cm in height.

12 ft high; Tree; Notes: Common in shade of aggregated savanna trees on sandy soils; Mostly on compact sands, termite mound thickets and in marginal floodplain woodland. Fruit red when ripe, edible.

sedge; Notes: Widely scattered amongst other sedges in marginal marshes of flood plain. Up to 3 feet 6 inches tall.

Tufted and stoloniferous.

Graminoid; Notes: Common tall, 6 - 8 feet, tufted grass on drainage lines or dambos in sandveld. Occasional with Loudetia superba in Aristida meridionalis.

Tree; Notes: Uncommon, small tree, 10 - 20 feet in height in Dialium - Pterocarpus - Baikiaea - Burkea tree savanna on stand.

Tree; Notes: Common tree 15 feet - 24 feet in height, in marginal floodplain woodland, on grey sandy loam soils. Common also in Baikiaea woodland.Diniz (1988) : FZ 8 (3) : 72 - 77.

Graminoid; Notes: Abundant marsh grass on floodplain, associated with No. 1433. Up to 5 feet tall. Rhizomatous and Stoloniferous.

Notes: Common hemiparasite on canopy branches of Burkea africana. Flowers red, splitting to the base. Also on Acacia.

Tree; Notes: Common in tree in Guibourtia - Pterocarpans - Ricinodendron savanna. Woodland on Kalahari sand. Up to 45 feet in height.

10 ft high; Tree; Notes: Small tree or shrub, up to 10 feet high. Growing in association with Baikiaea, Guibourtia. Common. Found on sand in savanna woodland.

Shrub; Notes: Common large shrub, sometimes [ascardent?] on the margins of marginal flood plain woodland.

Notes: Abundant hemiparasite on Guibourtia coleosperma. Flowers red.

Tall, coarse, cylindrical leaved grass.

Common in dry forest on sand

Graminoid; Notes: Abundant and dominant. Marsh grass on floodplain. Has same habit and vegetative growth form as Echinochloa pyramidalis.
